Find the Right Tehama Office

The Tehama County Sheriff's Office handles county-jail custody and its Administration and Records Division processes requests for booking logs and Sheriff records. The records office and jail are at different locations. For the clearest response, use the contact that matches the question.

These routes cover different records and custody stages:

• For a current Tehama County Jail listing or booking-photo path, start with the official roster steps on the home page, then call the jail if a match is unclear.
• For a released person's booking record, daily booking-log entry, or booking photograph, contact TCSO Records. Give a name, date range, and booking or case number when known, and ask for a cost estimate because no general photo fee is published.
• For an RBPD or Corning Police incident report, contact that city police department. TCSO Records remains the custodian for the separate jail booking created after admission.
• For charges filed, dismissal, plea, judgment, or sentence, use the Superior Court Criminal Division and clerk. The online calendar is not the official case record, and court staff do not provide criminal-record lookups by telephone.
• For a warrant that may concern you, contact the issuing court or a California attorney. The county has no verified public name-search warrant portal. Do not rely on an old booking or an unofficial listing.
• For a person committed to California state custody, use the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation CIRIS locator. It does not replace the county jail roster and does not display photos.
• For federal custody or qualifying immigration detention, use the official Federal Bureau of Prisons or ICE locator. Neither is a Tehama County booking system.

A booking or arrest entry is an accusation, not proof of guilt. Charges may change or be dismissed, and each person is presumed innocent unless a court proves otherwise.
